Delete your Skindra account
What this page is for
Skindra is an app for people with atopic dermatitis and sensitive skin. If you no longer want your account, you can have it deleted together with all associated data. There are two ways to do that: the quick way inside the app, and, if you have already removed the app from your device, the way through this page.
We will not ask you why and we will not put anything in your way. It is your decision.
Option 1: directly in the app
This is the fastest way if you still have Skindra on your device:
- Open Skindra.
- Go to Menu → Account.
- Tap "Delete account" and confirm.
The deletion runs on our server and takes effect immediately. You do not need to contact anyone and there is nothing to wait for.
Option 2: without the app installed
Already uninstalled Skindra? Then request the deletion here. We will get back to you at the address you provide, just to confirm that the request really comes from you. That step protects your account from being deleted by someone else in your name.
After that we delete your account without undue delay, and at the latest within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
Request received
Your deletion request has reached us. There is nothing else you need to do.

Would you rather write yourself? Send a message to datenschutz@skindra.de with the subject "Deletion of my Skindra account" and the email address of your account. That is enough.
We never delete an account on a typed-in address alone. The short confirmation by email makes sure nobody can delete someone else's account.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently and irreversibly remove:

The deletion is irreversible. There is no restore and no recycle bin. If you want to keep your history, save it from the app beforehand.
What we have to keep
We delete without undue delay, subject to statutory retention obligations. This essentially concerns commercial and tax law obligations relating to payments: records of completed purchases must be kept for the statutory period (tax records: 10 years, § 147 AO). These records are not used for anything else. Your health and skin data are not affected by this.

Your subscription does not end automatically
If you subscribed to Skindra Pro: deleting your account does not cancel a running subscription. Subscriptions run through Apple or Google, and they can only be cancelled there. Please cancel your subscription first so that nothing else is charged to you:
- iPhone / iPad: Manage subscriptions in the App Store
- Android: Manage subscriptions on Google Play
